Hassan Aharipour has over 26 years of experience on petrophysics operations, exploration and development in Middle East and South America offshore and onshore clastics and naturally fractured carbonate reservoirs. He specializes in formation evaluation, core analysis and reservoir characterization.
He held senior petrophysics positions in Iran National Oil Company, Shell Exploration & Production International Ltd. and Senergy (GB) Ltd. in United Arab Emirates. His most recent stint was at Petroleos de Venezuela S.A as a Senior Petrophysical Consultant.
His petrophysical experiences includes open-hole and cased-hole log interpretation, NMR analysis, formation pressure analysis and fluid sampling, carbonate rock type using core and logs, saturation height function modeling using core and logs and petrophysical uncertainty analysis.
Some of his major projects includes South Pars “North Gas Dome” PLNG with Shell Exploration & Production International in Dubai, UAE, Petrophysical consultancy for Korea National Oil Company (KNOC) for log interpretation of exploration wells in Bazian, Qush- tappe and Sangaw blocks, Northern Iraq, Kurdistan, Burgan reservoir characterization, IP software supporter for Middle East region with Senergy Ltd., and Western Venezuela offshore oil fields development project with Petroleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA).
